We are one of the Rapid Intervention Crews that serve Hunterdon County fire departments. Rapid Intervention Crews or RICs, respond on all structural fires. The mission of a RIC is to standby on the fire ground to provide immediate assistance or rescue of a firefighter(s) that may become injured, trapped, disoriented or become involved in a multitude of other emergencies while operating at a fire scene. RICs also carry additional equipment specific to firefighter assistance and rescue. Currently, the RTFC has 15 certified RIC members. The RTFC serves as the primary RIC for twelve Fire Departments in Hunterdon and Somerset Counties.
